Adda is an ongoing, intimate series of conversations between myself and other cultural workers, bringing together two people who already share a relationship. Drawing from the Bengali word, ‘adda’, meaning an informal get-together between loved ones, the project explores the gathering as a necessary space of trust, shared joy and pain, and learning. Each issue examines how our work is informed by the relationships and interdependent networks in our lives, focusing in particular on practices of care, organising, and resistance, and what this may look like within different communities.
