Adda is a publication that documents intimate conversations between myself (Ankita), and two people who already share a relationship. Each issue features artists, curators, or cultural workers who centre care, interdependence, and relationship-building within their work or their lives. Drawing from the Bengali word আড্ডা (adda), each conversation is set up as a loose, informal gathering between myself and the two guests, with shared meals or activities. Consciously or subconsciouly, each person I have spoken to also carries particular histories or lived experiences of migration, which come up naturally as a running thread in our conversations.
